Kym Allen, Grade 2 Teacher

Positive Action - Success Story: Pete Peterson

Date Submitted: 3/26/2007

From: Kym Allen, Grade 2 Teacher, Critzer Elementary School, Virginia

“I think the students have changed their way of thinking in dealing with situations at school as well as home. They often use the vocabulary from PA and refer back to lessons learned when similar situations arise.”

Here’s evidence that Mrs. Allen’s students like and use PA, in their own words.

“What I like about PA is talking about feelings, and anger makes you see red. Now we are talking about worrying. PA made me learn stuff I never knew and we talk about telling the truth.”
–Mercedes, Mrs. Allen’s student

“My favorite thing in PA is LOVE. I use love good at my house. I love to be a PA kid.”
–Autum, Mrs. Allen’s student
