Positive Action Testimonial - Boys & Girls Club of the Virginia Peninsula

Date Submitted: 3/3/2006

From: Noelle Mangus, (Previous) Grants Program Administrator
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula

"The Positive Place For Kids".....thats our motto at the Boys & Girls Clubs and the Positive Action program has made a remarkable difference in helping the youth of our organization contribute to the overall positive atmosphere of our organization. It has helped our youth by teaching principles that demonstrate how positive behavior contributes to positive outcomes not only in their lives but in the lives of those around them.

We are in the business of making a diffence in the lives of our youth and the Positive Action program is helping us succeed in doing this. The Positive Action program has provided us with the tools we need to teach the youth skills in a fun way. The program not only teaches the youth new material but challenges them to apply the material to their own lives. We believe in this program and have incorporated the Positive Action principles and message into all of our club activities and interactions.

What an amazing reward when we hear how this program has challenged our youth to think about their lives and how the decisons they make about how they will think or act will produce either a negative or positive outcome. We are excited to see the changes this program will continue to make in the lives of our youth.
