My students are really difficult to teach. Are you sure it will work for them?
We have heard this question for a long time. The short answer is yes, it will work for your students. The research indicates that even a small amount of Positive Action instruction can have lasting effects. There is additional information regarding implementation and effectiveness in the Planning and Research sections.
15 minutes a day?! I don’t have that kind of time.
Positive Action will save you time. You do not have to teach Positive Action every day to see lasting effects. Problem behaviors will start to decline as students embrace Positive Action concepts and begin to cooperate in the classroom. When behavior improves, Teachers spend less time dealing with problem behaviors and thus have more time to spend teaching.
Why do schools stop using Positive Action?
Most program disruptions can be attributed to a change in leadership. Whenever a school has a new Principal or leader, they wish to lead the school in their own way.
There’s another group of schools who use Positive Action for several years and then stop using because it worked. The incident rates get so low that they no longer perceive any need to continue using the program and stop supporting it.
These schools have found that it only takes two to three years for problem behaviors to return to previous levels, as incoming students who never received any Positive Action lessons begin to mix with the rest of the student body.
Is Positive Action available in other languages?
Yes, Spanish versions are available for most grade levels.
Do you ship to locations outside of the U.S.?
Yes, Positive Action ships to most countries. International shipping estimates are available through the Catalog.
